Real Breastfeeding Mom Style

Real Breastfeeding Mom Style - Milk & Baby

You’re a breastfeeding mommy who loves dresses? I can totally relate! One downfall when it comes to breastfeeding your babe is the fact that you can’t just wear anything. That’s where great nursing apparel comes into play, and finding pieces that can be mixed & matched within your wardrobe. Let's take a look at the Darling Day Nursing dress from Peek a boo.

First off Peek a boo brand typically runs small. I would recommend sizing up at least one size. I’m a solid medium and wearing a large, and since this can m=be a maternity dress as well, it fits perfect. If it was just a nursing top, I would have needed to go up another size because it’s pretty tight in my bust. This Darling Day nursing / maternity dress is soft and the slate gray color is perfect for just about any occasion. You can slightly tell it’s maternity if you’re not pregnant because of the pleats in the front, but I love that for my post partum pooch, I’m still working at. If you are pregnant and typically don’t gain a lot of weight other than belly weight, this is a gorgeous dress for two step wearing… it takes you right into the next stage….

Breastfeeding! This dress is great for breastfeeding discreetly, you lift up the panel at the waist and baby has full access. This is my favorite type of nursing apparel because I’m not hanging all out. You can slightly tell from the photo above as well that there is material that goes up about half way up my bust (underneath) so you have more coverage. Pull up and push down and you’re ready, set, nurse!

Are you a working mom, or need to dress up a bit more, yet still stay casual? Ankle wrap flats are trendy and comfortable for maternity or postpartum. Grab some jewelry, a white blazer/jacket and you’re set for whatever comes your way.

Now that we’ve taken a closer look at the dress – lets look at how the Darling Day Nursing / Maternity dress works for more than one occasion. Summer is perfect for dresses, so I adore this casual look featuring the dress. Grab your favorite denim jacket, slide on sneakers & teething jewelry, to complete a fun look for the park and play-dates.

The Darling Day dress is great for special occasions and after all it is wedding season. You won’t have to worry about hiding out when it’s time to feed baby. Wear it alone, but to really amp up your look grab your favorite accessories. I adore pink with grey, but grey is a great everyday color that you can wear just about whatever you have with it.
