At Milk & Baby, we like to use real breastfeeding and expecting moms for our photo shoots. We wanted you to get to know them. Here's a little bit about Shahrzad!

Meet Shahrzad Javid or Shar as we like to call her! Her little one is Laila and she is 5 1/2 months old. Shahrzad lives in Jeffersonville, IN. She has been breastfeeding since the day Laila was born. She was fortunate enough that Laila latched on immediately & that her milk production was more than sufficient.

Shar has always been pro-breastfeeding due to all of benefits & since her Mom nursed her siblings & herself, but she didn't realize how much she would LOVE breastfeeding. Shar pumps twice a day at work & looks forward to rushing home to Laila not only to see her, but to nurse her. The bonding & relaxation that comes from it is incomparable. She also feels a great sense of accomplishment because Laila is so healthy. Happy baby, happy Mommy!

We asked Shar why she applied to be a Milk & Baby model. She said, "As soon as I saw the post about being a Milk & Baby model I was intrigued by the name, so took a look at the website. I immediately fell in love with the website & company as it is centered around maternity & nursing. I knew it would be a fun opportunity to be a part of such a great company, & something Laila & I can always look back on!"

We then asked her about her experience. Shar said, "The whole photo shoot was fantastic, from the location, the clothes, the accessories, the other Mommies & babies, Kim & Beth, but my favorite was just being comfortable in beautiful clothes that were made to nurse in. I loved enjoying the shoot while nursing, which was perfect to demonstrate how the clothes work. We were so glad to spend the day with everyone there!"

At this point in my life, Shar just enjoys all the time she has with Laila. She does enjoy having Laila at any social gathering she attends because she wants her to be comfortable with people & enjoy everyone's company.

We wanted Shar to give us her favorite mommy tip! She said, "I have always been the person who wants things done a certain way & who tries to do everything at once, to the point where it is overwhelming. When Laila was born, I suddenly realized, not everything has to be done at that moment; it can wait. My biggest Mom tip is, enjoy your babies & be in the moment. Make memories, take pictures, take videos & hug, kiss & hold those precious babies as much as you can."
