Is It Ok That My Baby Favors One Breast?

IS IT OK THAT MY BABY FAVORS ONE BREAST?

Share:

Breasts are amazing. No one can argue, really. But what I’ve found super amazing about breasts is this: although they are undeniably a set, a beautiful set, they operate independently. This revelation should have come as no surprise to me. There have been many times in my life that one breast responded to… lets say a cold breeze and the other one was like, meh. But surprise me it did.

It’s fun to watch their preferences and budding personalities evolve over time. Mother and baby are definitely a team. Thanks for reading!

I wish I had known this 9 months ago when I started nursing my 10 month old daughter. She has actually switched preferences over these months from the right side to the left side for whatever reason – let down, my dexterity, her development? I have only noticed once the neglected breast becoming uncomfortably hard but she graciously nursed that side and promptly went back to her preferred side to finish and drift off to sleep. Thanks for posting!
