Milk & Baby has several ways that it shares the love and gives back to the community. Breastfeeding is close to our heart and most of our projects relate to that in some way.
Milk & Baby started a line of onesies for breastfed babies in 2014. A portion of the proceeds have gone to breastfeeding related organizations, such as Kellymom.com, Project Breastfeeding and Best For Babes.
Milk & Baby's biggest project is collecting new and gently used nursing bras. We then do bra fittings to find the right fit for moms and then gives the bras to them. We work with local charities such as Mama to Mama, WIC and La Leche League to hold these fittings throughout the year. Once a year, we hold a large event call Nursing BraPalooza where not only do we do the bra fittings and give the bras away, but we also have refreshments, informational tables, door prizes, pampering and more fun! Here is some information about Nursing BraPalooza!
Moms and owners of milk & baby, Beth Knockwafel and Kim Inge, want to make it easy for other moms to breastfeed whenever and wherever they choose and feel confident while they do it. Not being able to afford a nursing bra is just another barrier (booby-trap) to doing just that.
Beginning now, milk & baby will be collecting gently used nursing bras & tanks. They will then hold a bra fitting where they will provide the bras & tanks free of charge to moms and moms-to-be that could otherwise not afford a nursing bra.
You can mail bras & tanks to:
