It's hard to wait until the birthing day to find out if your little one is a boy or a girl and, of course, you want to share the news with your friends and family in a fun way. I’ve rounded up five fun ways for you to share the news.

1. Photo Announcement

Work with a photographer to craft a fun photo that can be tucked inside a baby shower invitation or sent as the announcement. Wrap a colored bow around your belly, or have the photographer capture your family reveal. This fun photo is courtesy of Bailey-Kade Photography in Cincinnati, Ohio.

You can have a lot of fun with balloons! You can inflate blue or pink balloons using helium and store them in a box to open for your guests and release and reveal. You can also fill dark colored balloons with colored confetti and then let your guests pop them together and reveal the gender!

3. Let There be Cake

Work with a baker for the big reveal. On the outside have a neutral color for frosting, but on the inside have blue or pink cake that reveals the gender as soon as the cake is cut. You can also make Cake Pops or Cookies for your gender reveal moment and everyone can discover together.

 4. Piñata

Do you have children who may want to be part of the fun? How about a family pinata? Get a multi-colored piñata and fill it with candy, confetti, and or toys that will announce the new arrival and celebrate your child becoming an older sibling.

5. Smoke Bombs

You read that right. Get colorful smoke bombs and set them off. This is great for this time of year because If you find out you’re pregnant in the Fall you may just have a July baby. Fireworks anyone?
