Skin-to-Skin and Adoption

Skin-to-Skin and Adoption - Milk & Baby

Our story is pretty simple.  I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 17.  I had surgery to remove it and got pregnant right away with our daughter. Ten months after her birth, I became pregnant again with our first son. We were thrilled and so very blessed that I was able to have not one, but two successful pregnancies with this problem.  Unsure if we wanted more children, I opted for a Mirena IUD. 16 months later, after many problems, I had it removed and we decided to try for one more child. We were unsuccessful for unknown reasons.

Several doctors had me convinced that my endometriosis grew back (which is common) and had rendered me infertile. Devastated, I figured we would not have anymore children until I was approached by a friend who had gotten pregnant but didn't want to be. She didn't know what to do so we weighed her options and she decided to adopt the child out.

A few weeks later, she asked me to adopt the baby. Thrilled, my husband and I agreed. Adoption was new to me, but I did my research and knew bonding was best done with skin to skin. Of course I could have sat around without a top on, but then I saw your kangaroo tube shirt and decided to purchase it.  It was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. When our son is upset, I just pop him in the shirt and he calms right down and snuggles in close. Its wonderful and has made bonding so much easier for us.  I can smell his head and kiss him and hold him close.  Thank you for this product. <3
